Friday July 28th, 2023

~ Arrival ~

Arrival 7:00 p.m. ~ Registration, Bed Allocation, check into your accommodations, relax and unwind.

7:30 p.m. ~ Opening Circle, Guided Meditation, Introduction and Itinerary. We will also attend to all documents that were emailed and returned, as requested prior to arrival. 

This is a good time to reflect on your goals for the retreat. It is important that you get a good night’s sleep so that you are ready to begin in the morning! Please be sure to eat when you arrive prior to Opening Circle. There will be something simple to eat available and the next meal will be after the sacred frog ceremony.

~ Sacrifice and Surrender ~  The energetic vibrations that are invoked beginning our fire ceremony represent the most powerful presence of the spirits and ancestors of the land. We shall offer tobacco to the fire and land at the beginning of each of our fires which is an act by which you surrender something for the sake of the spirits of the land. The upward motion of fire is said to be similar to the divine kundalini energy. 

~ Integration, Burning Bowl Ritual & Gratitude, Release and Surrender ~ Fireside  ~ Integration ~  Integration:  Post medicine ceremony integration knowledge is always good moving forward. Any sacred gathering, other medicine ceremonies or any type of deeply spiritual/shamanic work, re-integrating back into daily “normal” life is rarely “back to normal”. The first few days can feel particularly strange, leaving you feeling so out of sorts that you may second guess everything that you just KNEW was true while in the ceremony space or it can be extremely enlightening, nirvanic.
We would like to be sure that moving forward positively with any changes that have and may be occurring, to leave you with practical tools for exactly HOW to step back into life following your time with us. And, of course, never hesitate to contact us at any point throughout your integration and forwards. Our connection is for life and will assist where we can, when you leave the retreat, our help and guidance does not end. We will be doing something similar each evening with regard to the Integration. 

~ Meditation, Gratitude, Grace, & Mindfulness ~   This session will begin with a guided meditation and work with a mindfulness process and being still with things exactly as they are.  Things come and go – this session explores the various ways to control the “mind monkeys” that play within the gym of our mind.  Learn how to be in the moment and accept your life as it is, shift your consciousness and focus on what really matters, be fully present & let go of the past. Mindfulness is also an important key in integration work, after medicine work, and once you return home. You will be shown how to stay in an “attitude of gratitude” – heal your past and be in the Now!

~ Integration, Group Fire Ceremonial Initiative ~ Fireside ~      We look forward to your creativity with assisting with building our fire and plans for the evening.

~ Integration, Cozy Fireside with Handmade All Natural Cacao ~  This heart-warming or “heart-opening” sensation is what brings about the uniquely expansive, peaceful, open, and elevated physical and mental states that cacao ceremonies revolve around. The higher the quality of the bean used to make the paste, the more powerful the sensations experienced from it tend to be. This ability to generate an intense body-state is why ceremonial cacao is imbibed in ceremony— this heart-opening sensation helps people feel more open, receptive and vulnerable. And when we are open, receptive and vulnerable, there is a higher likelihood we’ll identify something in our lives that needs to evolve, which is the reason ceremony exists: to catalyze change.
